Practice Overview

A graduate of the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University, Isaac joined Barteaux in March of 2022. Isaac has represented employers of all sizes in a wide variety of industries – from small non-profit organizations to public institutions to multinational construction companies. He has attended at arbitration hearings in many provinces, as well as court proceedings at the Nova Scotia Supreme Court and the Nova Scotia Court of Appeal. His work has taken him (virtually) across the country, but he primarily focuses on work in Canada’s four Atlantic provinces.

Isaac appreciates that part of his job as a lawyer is to increase the confidence and capacity of his clients. He takes pride in helping them to develop and implement new policies/procedures that serve his client’s needs, and help them feel confident in protecting their legal rights and meeting their legal obligations.

Nova Scotia, 2022

  • Equal parts academic and practitioner, Isaac’s work and studies have brought him all over the globe, including stops in Bolivia, Mexico, the European Union, and across Canada before finally returning home to Nova Scotia to practice law.

    In his free time, Isaac enjoys day-tripping throughout the Atlantic provinces with his wife, Danielle, and his two children, Osher and Valerie. He is also deeply passionate about supporting local businesses and organizations, and the people who make them great.
